Spinal Stenosis MRI (Magnetic Rennosance Imaging)

A powerful magnet creates energy that creates signals which are detected by a scanner and interpreted by a computer. This produces many cross section images of the back and or a three dimensional view. It is particularly useful for finding damage or disease of soft tissues such as the disks between vertebrae or ligaments. It shows the spinal cord, nerve roots, and surrounding spaces, as well as enlargement, degernation, or tumors.
